Our Story

Hi! My name is Emma and I started Paws and Spas Boutique when I was 16. For as long as I can remember I have been in love with animals. It was obvious that I needed to get a job, but what 16 year old’s schedule isn’t crazy. With the help of my dad my business was brought to life. Through my time as a 4-H member I learned useful skills that aided me when starting up. 4-H is a program for kids ages 8-18 that teaches leadership skills and explores hobbies. Through 4-H I learned sewing skills, photography, public speaking, leadership and communication skills. I first started making bandanas for the dogs in my life. My dog Piper is pictured on the Home page. She is a rescue Border Collie - Blue Tick Hound mix. I was inspired to make bandanas especially for her which led to the expansion of Paws and Spas Boutique. Although border collies are friendly breed, there was an issue that I wanted to bring to life. There are specific breeds of dogs that are deemed vicious and not safe to be around. By putting dogs in bandanas it helps change peoples perspectives that certain breeds should be avoided. It shows that a breed does not determine how good or bad a dog is. If I can change the perspective of one person by selling a flower bandana to the dogs owner then I am over joyed.

All though 2020 did cause some tension… Paws and Spas Boutique is continuing to grow every year. I am experimenting with new products and new venues to sell at. I am so excited to continue working on the business. Now living with 2 dogs, Iris and Millie, I always have models to work with.

My goal is to have Paws and Spas Boutique be able to help pay for my education as I am majoring in Business Management.

In memory of my cat Molly, the best catnip helper and best kitty ever. 2007-2024
